9 Rumburg, H Rondel STONEWALL JACKSON'S VERSE
Spout Spring, VA Society For Biblical And Southern Studies 2003 0963973002 / 9780963973009 Third Printing Hardcover VG/VG
8vo; 147 pages; This book weaves the life of Jackson around his favorite text of Scripture which was Romans 8: 28. The greatness of Jackson as a military general cannot be understood apart from an understanding of his great faith in Christ. Why was he such a bigger-than-life kind of man? He faced the death of many loved ones, but how did he escape bitterness? What was the reason for his victorious death? This volume seeks to answer these and many more questions. Dr. M. E. Bradford contributed the Afterword, writing with his usual pungent style. Bradford deals with the religious foundation of secession in the South. Signed by author.

10 Rumburg, H Rondel THE SONGS OF SOUTHERN ZION: Confederate Hymnology
Spout Spring, Va Society for Biblical and Southern Studies 2011 0963973053 / 978-0-9639730-5-4 First Soft cover New 5.5 x 8
The hymn has been of great importance to the people in the South throughout their history. In life and in death the ministry of psalms and hymns has been a vital part of the fabric of life. Little is known about Southern Hymnology and almost nothing is known about Confederate Hymnology. A gospel minister observing the Confederate Army at worship declared, “The voices which now poured forth their strength in singing the songs of Zion had shouted in the charge and the victory.” One Southern minister, theological educator and hymn writer remonstrated, “We cannot afford to lose these old hymns. They are full of the Gospel; they breathe the deepest emotions of pious hearts in the noblest strains of poetry; they have been tested and approved by successive generations of those that loved the Lord; they are the surviving fittest ones from thousands of inferior productions; they are hallowed by abundant usefulness and tenderest memories.” This was written by Rev. Dr. Basil Manly, Jr. one of the founding professors of Southern Seminary. The Songs of Southern Zion: Confederate Hymnology is a much needed volume to rectify the void that has existed regarding the hymnology of the people of the South.

Dr. Wyeth was an early biographer of General Nathan Bedford Forrest and before that was a Confederate Soldier. This American terrorist has been made into a messianic figure by the politically correct crowd, but Wyeth exposes him once for all. H. Rondel Rumburg wrote an introduction and afterward to this book. R. E. Lee said of Brown that he “was … a fanatic or madman….” There is a biographical sketch of Wyeth by H. Rondel Rumburg. 60 pages
