This is the wartime diary kept by Betts who was a Confederate Chaplain. Most of his chaplaincy with the 30th North Carolina was in the Army of Northern Virginia. One can really get a glimpse of all that was involved in being a chaplain. Sometimes these men went to extremes to honor the Lord in their service for Him and to the soldiers.
